Our maritime, transportation and insurance law department is regularly involved in work including: Carriage of goods (by sea, road, air, railways), Collision, salvage, G.A., towage, Charter-parties, Sale and purchase, Ship-building and finance (including State aids), International sales contracts and banking, Freight forwarding, container leasing, NVOCCs , Cargo claims, Port and terminal claims, Personal injury, Marine Pollution. Permanents Clients of the department are: Italian and foreign shipping lines, P & I Clubs and hull/cargo insurance companies; the firm is also legal adviser of the Genoa Shipagent Association, the Italian Ship Suppliers Association, and the Milan Freight Forwarders Association.
 Our commercial law department offers its services to Italian and foreign corporate entities in the areas of pure company law (domestic and EU), anti-trust law; our department also allows the practice to provide with extensive services and to cope with “non-marine” needs of corporate clients in the field of shipping business. “Due diligence” and other corporate works have been carried out in M&As of leading Italian companies in the shipping market.
Banking & Finance department offers legal assistance to banks and financial institutions covering: financing agreements and transactions; guarantee and collateral agreements; loans; mortgage banking. Within these services the firm follows and executes the drafting and negotiation of the relevant documentation and delivers the requested legal opinions. Ship financing is also a core sector of activity.
The litigation activity sees our professionals representing the causes and interests of our clients in disputes before courts of every instance. Our job there is aimed at advising clients on the most effective litigation strategy, helping them in selecting the most useful documentation, collecting the evidence and taking measures to preserve the proofs or the chances to pursue a profitable and successful enforcement, either before, during and after the proceedings.
As the most recently started-up practice within T&A, the IP law team are able to cover all legal matters associated with IP and provide a full-range service (including registration; administrative enforcement; litigation generated by third parties' patent assertions) relevant to trade-marks, trade names, trade dress, designs, copyrights, databases, models. |
